iFixTechRepairs – Repair Policy & Service Agreement
Thank you for choosing iFixTechRepairs. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following Repair Policy & Service Agreement. These policies are designed to ensure transparency, safety, and high-quality service.
1. 📦 Parts & Display Disclosure
iFixTechRepairs offers OEM, high-grade aftermarket, basic aftermarket, and other third-party replacement parts to match your budget and preferences.
Please note: Replacement parts not installed by an authorized manufacturer service provider may trigger system notifications such as:
- “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display”
- “Battery health information not available”
- “Apple cannot verify this battery, display, or camera”
These messages are normal, do not affect device safety, and are part of manufacturer software protocols.
Additionally, due to differences in manufacturing and calibration, aftermarket and third-party displays may behave differently than original factory screens. Normal characteristics may include (but are not limited to):
- Color shifts or tinting (including purple, yellow, green, or blue hues)
- Changes in brightness or contrast
- Slower or less smooth scrolling
- Occasional freezing, ghosting, or delayed touch response
- Differences in refresh behavior compared to OEM displays
These characteristics are considered normal for non-OEM displays and do not indicate a defective part.
All devices are tested prior to release to ensure basic functionality at the time of pickup.
2. 🧰 Scope of Repair
All repairs performed by iFixTechRepairs apply only to the specific part or service requested. A successful repair of one component does not guarantee full device functionality.
Customers are responsible for fully and honestly disclosing all known issues, prior damage, liquid exposure, and repair history before service begins.
3. 🚨 Hidden Damage Disclosure
Devices presented with limited functionality — including but not limited to black or non-responsive screens, no touch input, no power, boot looping, overheating, or intermittent operation — may have underlying or internal damage that cannot be diagnosed prior to repair.
Because certain functions cannot be tested until power or display is restored, iFixTechRepairs cannot guarantee full device functionality after basic repairs such as screen, battery, or charging port replacements. These repairs may restore visibility or power but may also reveal previously undetectable issues.
Possible underlying issues include (but are not limited to):
- Motherboard or logic board damage
- Audio, microphone, or speaker failure
- Antenna, signal, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth issues
- Camera, Face ID, Touch ID, or sensor malfunctions
- Boot looping, overheating, or power instability
iFixTechRepairs is not responsible for pre-existing, undisclosed, or latent defects.
4. 🧪 Diagnostic Disclaimer
When a device cannot be fully tested prior to repair due to lack of power, display, or touch functionality, diagnostics are inherently limited. Any repair performed under these conditions is completed at the customer’s acknowledged risk.
Diagnostic limitations do not imply responsibility for failures discovered after service.
5. ✅ Testing, Acceptance & Device Release
Whenever possible, devices are tested with the customer present upon completion of the repair. By accepting the device and leaving the premises, the customer confirms that:
- The repair was completed as agreed
- The device was functioning as demonstrated at the time of pickup
Once the device has been released, iFixTechRepairs is not responsible for issues reported afterward that are unrelated to the repair performed.
6. 💵 Refund & Warranty Policy
All repairs include a 30-day limited warranty covering parts and labor related only to the specific repair performed.
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Pre-existing or undisclosed issues
- Hidden or internal damage
- Motherboard or logic board failures
- Color tinting or performance characteristics of aftermarket displays
- Issues unrelated to the repair
- Problems reported after testing and release
- Devices that develop additional issues after repair
If a refund is approved, a $20 restocking fee applies.
7. 🧪 Diagnostic Fee Policy
Some devices require advanced diagnostics. Diagnostic fees typically range from $49–$69, depending on complexity.
If you proceed with a recommended repair, the diagnostic fee may be waived or credited toward the repair cost. No work is performed without customer approval.
8. 🚗 Mobile Repair Fee
On-site repairs are available if the device and location qualify.
- Flat-rate driving fee: $49 (Portland area)
9. ⏱ Turnaround Time
Most repairs are completed the same day or within the timeframe provided at intake. Delays caused by part availability or complex issues will be communicated promptly.
10. 🔐 Data Protection & Data Loss Disclaimer
Customers are strongly encouraged to back up their data prior to service. iFixTechRepairs is not responsible for data loss under any circumstances.
Passcodes may be requested solely for post-repair testing. Customers may remain present during testing.
11. 💳 Payment & Cancellation Policies
- Accepted payments: Cash, Debit Card
- Full payment is due upon completion
- Deposits may be required for special-order parts
Cancellations must be made at least 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment. A 25% cancellation fee may apply for late cancellations or no-shows.
12. 🛠 Customer Responsibilities
Customers must remove passwords, account locks, and security features when required for repair and testing. Failure to do so may limit service or void warranty eligibility.
13. 🧾 Dispute Resolution
Customers agree to contact iFixTechRepairs directly to attempt resolution before initiating chargebacks, payment disputes, or legal action.
14. ⚠️ Limitation of Liability
iFixTechRepairs’ liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific repair performed. iFixTechRepairs is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, data loss, or device failure due to underlying conditions.
15. 🚫 Right to Refuse Service
iFixTechRepairs reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
16. ♻️ Environmental Responsibility
Electronic waste is disposed of responsibly in compliance with all local environmental regulations.
17. 📃 Agreement to Terms
By proceeding with service, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to this Repair Policy & Service Agreement and accept responsibility for undisclosed, pre-existing, or latent defects that may appear after repair.
